Estancia Cristina is an Argentine estancia located inside Los Glaciares National Park in Santa Cruz Province. It was founded in 1914 by Joseph Percival Masters, an Englishman who had come to Patagonia with his wife in 1900. The estancia was named in honour of Masters’ daughter Cristina.
Located on the coast of Brazo Cristina, a northern channel of Argentino Lake, Estancia Cristina is a working sheep ranch offering tourism activities such as horseback riding, hiking, and fishing. The Estancia's lodge has 20 rooms distributed over five buildings.
The estancia is still owned by the Masters family, and it continues to keep the history of the family alive. The lodge is decorated with antiques and family heirlooms, and the staff are descendants of the original gauchos who worked on the estancia.
Estancia Cristina is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. It is a great place to experience the beauty of Patagonia and the culture of the gaucho.
