Gwigoong (Korean: 귀궁) is an upcoming South Korean television series starring Yook Sung-jae, Kim Ji-yeon, and Kim Ji-hoon. It is scheduled to premiere on SBS TV in 2025.
Synopsis
Gwigoong tells the story of Yeo-ri, a shaman who rejects her fate as a psychic, and Kang Cheol-i, an imoogi trapped in the body of Yeo-ri's first love, Yoon-gap, who face the eight-faced ghost who holds a grudge against the royal family, and their bodies and souls become tightly entangled.

A police inspector who tries to protect the palace that has fallen into chaos due to the schemes of Palcheok-gwi and the first love of the shaman Yeo-ri.
Kim Ji-hoon as King Lee Seong
A reformist monarch who dreams of a strong Joseon and fights against ghosts that hold a grudge against the royal family.

The only daughter of Choi Won-woo, a prominent family in Joseon. She is the daughter of a noble family and is pure and honest by nature.
Kim Sang-ho as Pung-san
A blind man who is good at reading scriptures and fortune telling and is active in Maengcheong.
Son Byong-ho as Kim Bong-in
The king's maternal grandfather and prime minister. He is a strong political supporter of King Lee Seong, who dreams of reforming Joseon after the death of the previous king.
Gil Hae-yeon as Neup-deok
A shaman who was looked down on, but who worked hard her entire life to fulfill her duties as a shaman. She is also the one and only grandmother in the world to Yeo-ri.
Han So-eun as Queen Park
Kim In-kwon as Kim Eung-soon
A eunuch from the merchant fleet who has served the previous king faithfully since the time of the father of the current king, Lee Seong.
Cha Chung-hwa as Yeong-geum
Yoon-gap's mother. She was born into a very poor farming family and became a concubine to a noble family, but after being kicked out of her family home at a young age following the death of her husband, she becomes a tough character who does all kinds of difficult jobs to survive with her son.

=The rom-com fantasy drama would be directed by Yoon Seong-sik, who worked on Bridal Mask (2012), You Are the Best! (2013), and Mr. Queen (2020), and the screenplay would be written by Yoon Soo-jung, who wrote The King's Face (2014) and Cheer Up! (2015).
= Casting
=On July 19, 2024, SBS announced Yook Sung-jae, Kim Ji-yeon, and Kim Ji-hoon as the lead actors for the series. In August 2024, it was reported that Shin Seul-ki, Kim Sang-ho, Son Byong-ho, and Gil Hae-yeon were confirmed to appear in the series.
