John Dimitri Negroponte (; lahir 21 Juli 1939) adalah seorang diplomat Amerika Serikat. Ia sekarang adalah James R. Schlesinger Distinguished Professor at the Miller Center for Public Affairs di Universitas Virginia. Ia adalah mantan J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor of International Affairs di Elliott School of International Affairs dari George Washington University. Sebelum pelantikannya, ia menjabat sebagai anggota riset dan dosen dalam urusan internasional di Jackson Institute for Global Affairs dari Universitas Yale, Wakil Menteri Luar Negeri Amerika Serikat (2007–2009), dan Direktur Intelijensi Nasional (2005–2007).
Negroponte menjabat dalam Kementerian Luar Negeri Amerika Serikat dari 1960 sampai 1997. Dari 1981 sampai 1996, ia bertugas sebagai duta besar Amerika Serikat di Honduras, Meksiko, dan Filipina.
