Yayoi (弥生code: ja is deprecated , "Maret") merupakan kapal perusak ketiga dari kelas Mutsuki. Yayoi dibuat pada tahun 1924 dan selesai dibuat pada tahun 1925 di Uraga.
Yayoi terlibat dalam beberapa operasi seperti Perang Tiongkok-Jepang Kedua, Pertempuran Pulau Wake, Kampanye militer Kepulauan Solomon, dan Kampanye Nugini. Pada awal Perang Pasifik, ia tergabung ke dalam Divisi Perusak ke-30. Ia tenggelam pada tanggal 11 September 1942 setelah diserang pesawat pembom B-25 Mitchell dan B-17 Flying Fortress di barat laut Pulau Vakuta (08°45′S 151°25′E).
