Racial passing terjadi ketika seseorang yang diklasifikasikan sebagai anggota sebuah kelompok rasial diterima atau dianggap sebagai anggota kelompok rasial lainnya. Pada masa lalu, istilah tersebut biasanya dipakai di Amerika Serikat untuk menyebut orang kulit berwarna atau keturunan multirasial yang berasimilasi dalam mayoritas kuli putih untuk menghindari akibat hukum dan sosial dari pemisahan dan diskriminasi rasial.
