The Santos Family, or simply Los Santos, are a Colombian and Ecuadorian family.
The Colombian branch originally established from the Santander Department, but residing in Bogotá, which has significantly influenced the country's politics and journalism since the beginning of the 20th century. Its origins date back to the port of Cádiz, Spain.
The family has had two presidents of the country, Eduardo Santos Montejo and Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, and several journalists, among its numerous and influential members, including the heroine of the Independence, Antonia Santos. Additionally, one vice–president, Francisco Santos Calderón.
The Ecuadorian Branch counts with Eduardo Santos Alvite, economist and diplomat, Fernando Santos Alvite, Minister of Energy in two occasions and Esteban Santos Burbano de Lara, former president of Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito and traumatologist.
