Susan Cain (lahir 1968) adalah seorang penulis dan pembicara asal Amerika Serikat. Ia merupakan penulis buku nonfiksi tahun 2012 berjudul Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking, yang berisi pendapat bahwa budaya Barat modern tidak paham dan merendahkan sifat dan kemampuan orang-orang introvert.




Karier awal


Cain lulus dari Universitas Princeton dan Harvard Law School. Setelah itu ia bekerja sebagai jaksa, lalu konsultan negosiasi sekaligus pemilik dan ketua The Negotiation Company. Cain adalah anggota Woodhull Institute for Ethical Leadership, sebuah organisasi pendidikan nirlaba.
Cain mengakhiri kariernya di bidang hukum korporat dan konsultasi untuk mencari kehidupan yang lebih tenang sambil menulis di rumah bersama keluarganya. Ia kemudian menulis bahwa masa kerjanya di Wall Street "rasanya sama seperti berada di luar negeri."
