Theodor Holm Nelson (lahir 17 Juni 1937) adalah seorang pionir teknologi informasi, filsuf dan sosiolog asal Amerika Serikat. Ia mencetuskan istilah-istilah hypertext dan hypermedia pada tahun 1963 dan mempublikasikan mereka pada tahun 1965. Nelson mencetuskan istilah transclusion, virtuality, dan intertwingularity (dalam Literary Machines), dan teledildonics. Menurut profil Forbes tahun 1997, Nelson "memandang dirinya sendiri sebagai sebuah romansa sastra, seperti Cyrano de Bergerac, atau 'Orson Welles dari perangkat lunak.'"
