      • To Be Hero (å‡øå˜č‹±é›„) is a Chinese-Japanese animated comedy television series produced by Emon and animated by Studio LAN and supervised by Shinichi Watanabe. The show premiered in October 2016, on Tokyo MX in Japan, and on video sharing website bilibili in China.
      A second season named To Be Heroine premiered in 2018. The series was directed by Li Haoling and animated by Studio.LAN! and Haoliners Animation League.

      The production took place in China, with modifications to the show for the Japanese broadcast. The first season started on October 5, 2016, and ended on December 21, 2016. The anime has been licensed by Crunchyroll for its online release. In China, the opening song is "Insistence" (ꉧåæµ), performed by Loki (刘ē•…). Meanwhile, in Japan, the opening song is "Come to See You" (ć‚Ŗćƒ¼ćƒ—ćƒ‹ćƒ³ć‚°ćƒ†ćƒ¼ćƒžć€Œć‚¢ć‚¤ćƒ‹ć‚³ć‚¤ćƒØ怍), performed by BRATS. The ending song in both Japan and China is "My Dad Protects the Earth" (ć‚Øćƒ³ćƒ‡ć‚£ćƒ³ć‚°ćƒ†ćƒ¼ćƒžć€Œē§ć®ćƒ‘ćƒ‘ćŒåœ°ēƒć‚’å®ˆć‚‹ 怜ꈑēˆ¹å®ˆęŠ¤åœ°ēƒć€œć€) by Lin Heye (ęž—å’Œå¤œ).
      A second season of the show entitled To Be Heroine was released on May 19, 2018.
      An animation project titled To Be Hero X has been announced by bilibili and Aniplex. The studio BeDream produces the animation, which is again directed by Li Haoling. At Anime Expo 2023, Crunchyroll announced that they licensed the series outside of Asia. The series is scheduled to air on Fuji TV in April 2025.
