If you want to see the 'Old South' - think Gone With The Wind - Bulloch Hall is the best option I've seen in the Atlanta area. Most of the beautiful building, inside and out, is original to when it was built in 1839, and on the surrounding grounds, there are many interesting features of plantation life from back then.
Bulloch Hall is the 1839 childhood home of President Ted Roosevelt's mother (Mittie Bulloch). For those who interested in the history of civil war, it will be a good place to get some information. House is decorated in the right time ( some antique ). The whole tour take less than one hour.

This is a unique place which offers many events throughout the year including a quilt show, garden faire over the weekend, reenactment of the Bulloch/Roosevelt wedding, fun activities for the kids in the summertime and at Christmastime.
