    Cecily Legler Strong (lahir 8 Februari 1984) adalah seorang aktris dan komedian asal Amerika Serikat. Dia adalah anggota pemeran di serial komedi sketsa NBC Saturday Night Live dari 2012 hingga 2022. Dia adalah pemeran wanita dengan masa jabatan terlama dalam sejarah acara tersebut.
    Strong memiliki peran utama dalam serial komedi musikal Apple TV+, Schmigadoon! (2021–2023), yang juga dia produseri. Perannya yang lain termasuk pengisi suara di The Awesomes (2013–2015), peran pendukung dalam film seperti Ghostbusters, The Meddler dan The Female Brain. Dia menjadi pembawa acara Makan Malam Koresponden Gedung Putih pada tahun 2015. Buku pertamanya, memoar This Will Be Over Soon, diterbitkan pada tahun 2021.

    Awal kehidupan


    Strong lahir di Springfield, Illinois, dan dibesarkan di Oak Park, pinggiran kota Chicago. Dia adalah putri dari Penelope dan William "Bill" Strong, yang bekerja sebagai kepala biro Associated Press dan pada tahun 2013 menjalankan firma humasnya sendiri. Penny Legler Strong adalah seorang praktisi perawat, yang telah bekerja secara ekstensif di rumah sakit setempat. Orang tua Strong sudah bercerai. Strong tumbuh dengan mengagumi SNL saat kecil, membuat ulang sketsa bersama temannya dan menonton iklan SNL lama di VHS. "Saya punya rekaman iklan terbaik, dan saya memakainya, setiap hari." Dia menyatakan bahwa dia terinspirasi oleh Phil Hartman.
    Dalam wawancara tahun 2021 dengan Terry Gross di program National Public Radio, Fresh Air, Strong mengatakan bahwa karena pamannya adalah seorang produser Broadway, saat masih anak-anak dia sering menghadiri pertunjukan Broadway dan terkadang ke panggung untuk bertemu dengan para pemerannya.
    Dia bersekolah di Oak Park dan River Forest High School sampai tahun keduanya, dia dikeluarkan karena membawa ganja ke sekolah. Dia kemudian bersekolah di sekolah swasta Katolik sampai tahun terakhirnya pindah ke Akademi Seni Chicago, di mana dia lulus pada tahun 2002. Dia kemudian belajar akting di Institut Seni California (CalArts), lulus pada tahun 2006 dengan gelar BFA di teater. Setelah lulus, Strong kembali ke Chicago di mana dia belajar di Second City Conservatory dan iO Chicago.


    Kehidupan pribadi


    Pada bulan Maret 2024, Strong mengungkapkan bahwa dia bertunangan dengan pasangannya, Jack. Pada bulan November 2024, Strong mengumumkan di laman Instagram-nya bahwa ia tengah mengandung anak pertamanya melalui program bayi tabung. Postingan tersebut juga mendorong para pengikutnya untuk menentang calon presiden dari Partai Republik Donald Trump dalam pemilihan presiden Amerika Serikat tahun 2024.
