Sacramento Kings adalah tim bola basket Amerika yang tergabung dalam National Basketball Association. Tim ini berbasis di Sacramento, California. Dulunya tim ini berdomisili di Rochester, New York dan dikenal sebagai Rochester Royals yang didirikan pada tahun 1945 sebagai bagian dari National Basketball League (NBL). Pada tahun keduanya berkompetisi di NBL, Rochester merebut gelar juara. Setahun kemudian, Rochester berpindah ke kompetisi Basketball Association of America (BAA). Pada tahun 1951, Rochester Royals berhasil meraih gelar juara NBA. Sebelum akhirnya berpindah ke Sacramento pada tahun 1985, tim ini pernah beberapa kali mengalami perubahan nama, yaitu Cincinnati Royals, the Kansas City-Omaha Kings, dan the Kansas City Kings.
Pada musim 1985/86, Sacramento Kings berkompetisi di NBA untuk pertama kalinya dengan menggunakan markas Sacramento Sports Arena (kemudian dikenal sebagai ARCO Arena the Kings) yang berkapasitas 10,333 kursi. Dua tahun kemudian, Kings memiliki stadion baru berkapasitas 16,517 kursi yang juga dinamakan ARCO Arena. Di musim 2001/2, Kings mencapai musim terbaiknya di NBA dengan rekor menang kalah 61-21 dan menjadi juara wilayah Barat. Musim terburuk Kings di NBA dialami pada tahun 2008/09 dengan rekor menang-kalah 17-65.
