Sinopsis
Film tersebut mengikuti cerita mengenai keberlangsungan sebuah kasus pembunuhan berantai dari tiga pemuda oleh “Sweet Sixteen Killer”, seorang serial Killer yang terkenal berkat kejahatannya. Setelah beranjak 35 tahun lamanya sejak peristiwa pertama tersebut, pembunuh berantai itu pun kembali pada malam perayaan halloween untuk mencari korban keempatnya. Namun, seorang gadis bernama Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) mengabaikan peringatan yang diberikan oleh ibu tuanya (Julie Bowen) mengenai pembunuh berantai itu. Jamie pun pergi menghadapi Sweet Sixteen Killer secara langsung, dan sayangnya ia tak bisa mengalahkan pembunuh itu. Sesaat ia akan melarikan diri dari pembunuh berantai itu, Jamie sempat melakukan perjalanan waktu. Ia terlempar menuju tahun 1987, tahun di mana peristiwa pembunuhan pertama terjadi. Jamie pun harus beradaptasi dengan kultur dan keadaan di tahun 1980-an, yang ternyata membawa remaja itu menuju pertemuannya dengan ibu masa mudanya (Olivia Holt). Mereka kemudian bekerja sama untuk mengalahkan pembunuh berantai tersebut, serta berusaha membantu Jamie agar tak terjebak di masa lalu itu untuk selamanya.Referensi
