Format
On 12 May 2022, the Chinese Football Association announced the format of the season. The season will be divided into 4 stages (8, 8, 8 and 10 rounds respectively). In the first stage, 18 teams will be divided into three groups. The hosts will be allocated to each group and other teams will be drawn based on last season's rankings.
