    • General elections will be held in the Turks and Caicos Islands by May 2025.

      Electoral system

The Parliament has 21 members: 19 elected members and two ex officio members.
The 15 elected members elected for the House of Assembly were elected by two methods; ten were elected from single-member constituencies, with five elected on an at-large basis, with voters able to vote for up to five candidates at the national level.
The four appointed members included one nominated by the Premier, one nominated by the Leader of the Opposition and two members appointed by the Governor. In addition, the Attorney General and the Speaker are ex officio members.
Starting with these elections, the House of Assembly will be known as the Parliament of the Turks and Caicos Islands, alongside a term increase to a maximum of five years. The electoral system was also modified so that 19 instead of 15 members will be elected, with the four formerly appointed seats becoming at-large constituency seats. The constitutional amendments were unanimously adopted by the House of Assembly, and afterwards authorized by the United Kingdom government, in late 2024.
