The 2025 Virginia House of Delegates election is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 to elect members of the 164th Virginia General Assembly. All 100 delegates are elected to two-year terms in single-member districts. Nomination primaries held through the Department of Elections are to be held June 19, 2025. The House elections will be held concurrently with the gubernatorial, lieutenant gubernatorial, and attorney general elections.
Background
Following the 2023 election, Democrats regained control of the House of Delegates that was lost to the Republicans in 2021. Democrats currently hold a narrow majority of 51 seats.
