A by-election for the electorate of Werribee in the Victorian Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held sometime in 2025 following the resignation of incumbent member Tim Pallas, which was announced on 16 December 2024.

The Liberal Party and the Victorian Socialists have indicated that they will contest the by-election.

On December 23, John Lister, a local school teacher and CFA volunteer firefighter, was confirmed as Labor's candidate for the by-election. This will be the second by-election contested by Victorian Labor during this term of government, after Mulgrave, after the party opted against fielding candidates in by-elections in Warrandyte and Prahran.
