As fate would have it, Piku is employed in Ishaan's family boutique Modhu Kunjo by his grandmother, the venerable Gayatri Ganguly, who is deeply impressed by Piku's kind heart and unwavering dedication to her family. Despite their initial clashes and Ishaan's apparent romantic interest in his friend Mishka (Rupsa Chatterjee), Piku and Ishaan find themselves inexplicably drawn to each other. Circumstances ultimately force them into an unexpected marriage. While Piku is warmly welcomed by the Ganguly family, she faces resistance from Ishaan's aunt, Brinda and Mishka. As Piku navigates her new life, she and Ishaan develop a deepening respect for each other, which gradually blossoms into love. United, they pledge to uphold the Ganguly family's honor and reputation.
However, their happiness is short-lived, as Piku's health begins to decline during her pregnancy, compounded by Mishka's sinister conspiracies. Seeking refuge in a rural village, the couple befriends Bokul (Tuya Chakraborty), a kind-hearted and compassionate young woman. Tragedy strikes when Ishaan is away, and Piku meets with a fatal accident. Despite Bokul's valiant efforts, Piku succumbs to her injuries, leaving behind twins.

As Ishaan struggles to come to terms with his loss, Mishka attempts to re-enter his life, but the family intervenes, arranging Ishaan's marriage to Bokul. Although Bokul devotes herself to caring for the twins, Ishaan is unable to accept her as his wife, his heart still belonging to Piku.
