Aanikai is the main island of North Tabiteuea, in Kiribati.
Its surface area is 22.4 km2 (about 24 km2 of the entire northern part of the atoll).

Savanna climate prevails in the area. Annual average temperature in the area is 24 °C. The warmest month is January, when the average temperature is 26 °C, and the coldest is December, with 24 °C. Average annual precipitation is 1,112 millimeters. The rainiest month is June, with an average of 168 mm precipitation, and the driest is November, with 16 mm of precipitation.
