Abdul Hamid Mohtat (born 1944) is an Afghan former politician and military officer who served as Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister.
Mohtat was born in 1944 in Parwan province. He graduated from a military school in 1964 and was then got trained in Soviet Union as engineer. He also served as Minister of Communications in 1973 but was dismissed in April 1974 by Mohammed Daoud Khan.
In June 1978, he became ambassador of Afghanistan to Japan.
He was one of the Vice Presidents in Najibullah cabinet from May 1988 to April 1992. He was also Deputy Prime Minister at that time.
