  • Adapur is a block in East Champaran district of Bihar, India. Adapur railway station is located 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Motihari, the district headquarters. The state capital Patna is 175 kilometres (109 mi) in south. Adapur is located on the India - Nepal border.     Nearest airport is located in Nepal at Simara Airport, about 38 kilometres (24 mi) from Adapur. Another airport at Raxaul Airport, about 13 km away, is drafted to be operational in future. Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport Patna is the operational Airport.

    The Indian government has proposed three new low-cost airports in Bihar: Muzaffarpur, Raxaul, and Gaya.
    The airports would be smaller than the existing airport in Gaya, and would be able to handle smaller aircraft with around 50-60 seats.
    The development of the airports would cost around Rs 150 crore each, and would take around three years to complete.
    Some experts are skeptical about the success of the low-cost airports, as they believe that there is not enough demand for air travel in the region.
    However, the government is confident that the airports will be successful, and that they will help to boost regional air connectivity and tourism.
    The existing airport in Gaya is only used for international flights, as it is not long enough for most domestic aircraft.

    Adapur is a railway station on the Broad gauge Raxaul-Sitamarhi line. The station code of this railway station is ADX. All the rail lines are electrified but both electric and diesel engines runs for better connectivity. There are 3 platforms in railway station and 4 rail lines. Most of the passenger trains of this routes are non express trains, and the route is mainly used as goods wagon. Soon the route will be doubled and it will have on up line and one down line for fast and seamless transportation.
