Begum Hamida Siddique School and College (Bengali: বেগম হামিদা সিদ্দিক স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ) is a secondary, higher secondary and technical educational institution located in Boria village Battail Union of Kushtia Sadar Upazila of Kushtia District. Kamrul Islam Siddiqui founded the institution in 1995. The institute is affiliated to Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, jashore and Board of Technical Education. In 1998, the institute was recognized by the Board of Technical Education.
Location
The institution is located at the eastern end of Baria village of Battail Union of Kushtia Sadar Upazila of Kushtia District. The distance of the school from Kushtia city is 6.7 km.
History
There were no educational institutions in the area. Everyone in the region had to depend on Jagati Secondary School for education. In 1995, rural infrastructure architect Quamrul Islam Siddique established the educational institution. He named the institute after his late mother Begum Hamida Siddique. Earlier the name of the institution was Begum Hamida Siddique Collegiate School.
Infrastructure
The institution has 1 four storied academic building and tinshed building. There are also 2 playgrounds, a Shaheed minar, a water tank. On the east side of the academic building is a pond.
