Belloy-en-Santerre (French pronunciation: [bɛlwa ɑ̃ sɑ̃tɛʁ], literally Belloy in Santerre) is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France.
Geography
The commune is situated on the D79 road, about 1 mile (2 km) from the junction of the A1 autoroute and the N29, some 30 miles (48 km) east of Amiens.
History
An aerial photograph taken in 1967 shows the outline of a large, rectangular, south-facing Gallo-Roman villa on the site of present-day Belloy.

Personalities
Alan Seeger, American poet, who had joined the French Foreign Legion, died here during the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
