Controversy
On June 11, 2024, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration recalled three flavors of Samyang Food's Buldak Ramen. The tree flavors, Buldak 3X spicy, Buldak 2X, and Buldak Stew, were recalled and claimed that the Capsaicin levels in a single package of the brand's spidy noodles could poison consumers. However, at the end of June, the New Zealand Food Safety investigated the three products that Denmark had reclled and concluded that there were no problems in the quality of the products. Then on July 16, 2024 Denmark also retracted its recall and the two flavors of Buldak Ramen found their places back on the store shelves.
