Cameron Calhoun is an American college football cornerback for the Utah Utes. He previously played for the Michigan Wolverines.
Early life
Calhoun attended Winton Woods High School located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Coming out of high school, Calhoun was rated as a three star recruit, where he held offers from schools such as Kentucky, Boston College, Rutgers, Duke, Connecticut, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Michigan and Duke. Initially, Calhoun decided to commit to play college football for the West Virginia Mountaineers. However, after pledging his commitment to the Mountaineers, Calhoun flipped his commitment to play for the Cincinnati Bearcats. However a few months later, Calhoun decided to de-commit from the Cincinnati Bearcats. Ultimately, Calhoun made his final decision to commit to play college football for the Michigan Wolverines.
College career
= Michigan
=During Calhoun's first collegiate season in 2023, he appeared in just two games where he recorded no statistics for the Wolverines as he won a National Championship with the team. After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Calhoun decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.
= Utah
=Calhoun decided to transfer to play for the Utah Utes. After starter Kenan Johnson went down with a season-ending injury in week one of the 2024 season, Calhoun entered the Utes defensive back rotation. In week three of the 2024 season, Calhoun got his first collegiate interception in a win over the Utah State Aggies.
