Cecilia Tamayo Garza (spelled Tamayo-Garza in international competitions; born 4
March 1997) is a Mexican sprinter. She has won multiple national titles and is national record holder over 200 metres.
Career
In 2021, she set a Mexican national record of 23.02 seconds for the 200 metres, running in Tampa, Florida.
She is coached by Carl Lewis at the University of Houston. She set a new personal best of 22.45 seconds for the 200 metres in 2023. She competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in the 200 metres. She qualified for the final of the 100 metres at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago.
She was selected for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris in the 100 metres and 200 metres. She was the first Mexican woman to qualify for the 100 metres at the Olympics in twenty years. She ran 11.39 seconds for the 100 metres as she finished fifth in her qualifying heat.

She is from León, Guanajuato.
