Cesare Stefano Bernardinelli (born October 4, 1956) is an Italian architect, urban planner, and designer, from Orzinuovi, Brescia. He is known for his work on tourism projects, urban planning, and interior design in the international hotel and resort sector. His projects include across countries like Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Morocco, Russia, and the Dominican Republic, among others.
Biography
= Education
=Cesare Stefano Bernardinelli studied at the Polytechnic University of Milan, graduating in 1981 with a thesis focused on urban planning in the municipality of Bovisio Masciago. He also attended the State Institute of Monza after school, earning a diploma in "Master in Art" and later in Applied Arts.
= Career
=In 1983, Bernardinelli began his independent professional career in Milan. Four years later, in 1987, he specialized in the design and construction of tourism projects and interior design.
In 1997, he was awarded an honorary degree from the International University of New York for his contributions to the field of architecture.
Bernardinelli has held executive positions at OMINASIS FRANCE since 2004.
In 2005, he designed the tourist center of the Tamarindo Region in the Gulf of Fonseca on the Pacific coast for the government of President Elías Antonio Saca González in El Salvador.
From 2012 to 2016, Bernardinelli prepared projects for the development of the Sassandra area in Côte d'Ivoire, and from 2018 to 2022, for the Great Bridges Region in Côte d'Ivoire and El Salvador for the development of the tourist area.
In 2013, he created the eco-sustainable neighborhood of Cité Ado for the Government of Côte d'Ivoire, in honor of President Alexandre Ouattara. It consisted of 4,800 apartments, with common areas, schools, churches, and shopping centers.
= New projects
=In 2024, Bernardinelli is carrying out the construction of a mega hotel complex in Roatán, an island in the Caribbean off the coast of Honduras. The development of this project is estimated to take between 5 and 6 years, with an initial investment of approximately $250 million, financed by European entrepreneurs. Planning for the first hotel began in 2024.
