Chirirbandar (Bengali: চিরিরবন্দর) is an upazila of Dinajpur District in the Division of Rangpur, Bangladesh.
Geography
Chirirbandar is located at 25.6625°N 88.7833°E / 25.6625; 88.7833 - it has 68,415 households and total area 312.69 km2.
Chirirbandar Upazila is bounded by Khansama Upazila on the north, Parbatipur Upazila in Dinajpur District and Saidpur Upazila in Nilphamari District on the east, Fulbari Upazila and Kumarganj CD Block in Dakshin Dinajpur district, West Bengal, India, on the south, and Dinajpur Sadar Upazila on the west.
Demographics
According to the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Chirirbandar Upazila had 68,415 households and a population of 292,500. 64,830 (22.16%) were under 10 years of age. Chirirbandar had a literacy rate (age 7 and over) of 52.88%, compared to the national average of 51.8%, and a sex ratio of 995 females per 1000 males. 8,683 (2.97%) lived in urban areas. Ethnic population was 3,140 (1.07%), of which Santal were 2,478.
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Chirirbandar has a population of 232409. Males constitute 51.43% of the population, and females 48.57%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 114095. Chirirbandar has an average literacy rate of 28.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.

Chirirbandar Thana was established in 1914 and it was turned into an upazila in 1984.
The upazila is divided into 12 union parishads: Abdulpur, Alokdihi, Amarpur, Auliapukur, Fatejangpur, Isobpur, Nashratpur, Punotti, Saitara, Satnala, Tetulia, and Viail.
The union parishads are subdivided into 145 mauzas and 142 villages.
