Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Holdings International Limited (SEHK: 0116), is primarily engaged in manufacture and retail of jewellery, and distribution of watches in Greater China with its short name “Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang”. It originated from a goldsmith shop of the same name founded in 1934 in Guangzhou, China. The founder chose the name with the metaphor of 「周而復始，生生不息」(Sustained Vitality, Ever Rejuvenated), which also included his surname.




Introduction


Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang became the first gold and jewellery company to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1973. Mr. Vincent CHOW Wing Shing, the Chairman and Group General Manager of Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang group, is one of the third generation at the helm.
As at 31 December 2023, Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang group had a total of 1,032 stores and over 12,000 employees all over the region. Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang group achieved a revenue of HKD25,013 million in 2023.
As for the jewellery shops named "C.S.S. Jewellery" in Hong Kong and Macau, they do not have any business connections with Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang group.




Corporate History


In 1934, Mr. Chow Fang Pu, a Shunde native, who first became a teacher, then a medical doctor and then a businessman, founded “Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Gold Shop” in Xiguan, Guangzhou.
In 1938, Guangzhou fell to the Japanese in their invasion of China. Mr. Chow Fang Pu moved to Macau with his family and ran his business there.
In 1941, Mr. Chow Fang Pu handed over his shops to his sons to run on their own. Among them, Kwen Ling, Kwen Lim and Kwen Yum took over the shop in Macau.
In 1948, the three brothers opened a branch in Shanghai Street in Mong Kok, Hong Kong, marking their official presence in the Hong Kong market.
In 1957, the three brothers established Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Jewellery & Goldsmith Co. Ltd. in Hong Kong, which was later renamed Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Jewellery Company Limited.
In 1973, publicly listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (SEHK: 0116).
In 1986, Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Securities Limited was established, offering securities trading services to retail clients.
In 1990:
-“Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Precious Metal Laboratory” was established, becoming the first commercial institution to obtain the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme's recognition for gold fineness testing.
-Corporate Gift Team was formed, offering customized corporate gift services to commercial organizations.
In 1994, the brand “EMPHASIS” was set up with different concepts and designs in product style and store decoration, aiming to create a trendy yet cozy brand.
In 1995：
-“EMPHASIS” entered the Taiwan, China market.
-Launch of “Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang” and “EMPHASIS” official websites, the first jewellery company in Hong Kong to be on internet.
-“Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Precious Metal Laboratory” granted the accreditation on platinum fineness test.
In 1998 , Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Jewellery Company Limited obtained the ISO 9002 accreditation in Hong Kong retail service, which is the first jewellery company to obtain such accreditation.
In 2000, Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Securities Limited launched 338.net website to provide online automatic placement services.
In 2001, Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang eShop started its operation.
In 2004, Mickey Mouse and other Disney-themed products were introduced over the branches in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
In 2005:
-Hong Kong Disneyland opened. A jewellery store operated by Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang, named Midtown Jewellery, started business, which was the first jewellery brand in the world to open a store in Disneyland.
-Became a Sightholder of Diamond Trading Company (DTC), a division of De Beers, the world’s largest diamond supplier group, thus able to source rough diamonds directly.
-“EMPHASIS” entered the Macau market.
In 2009, the first flagship store in Mainland China was opened at Sanlitun, Beijing, with an area of 600 square meters and 3 storeys.
In 2013, Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Production Centre in Shunde officially started operation. The factory covers an area of 28,000 square meters and the design is highly integrated with eco-friendly concepts such as energy saving, emission reduction, and green environment. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art production equipment.
In 2018, collaborated with Mickco, a renowned Hong Kong fashion illustrator known for working with various international fashion and cosmetics brands as well as celebrities, to create Cassie, a new character with a multi-faceted fashion attitude.
In 2021:
-Ceased the operation of securities and futures broking business.
-In recognition of the Group's digital transformation, omni-channel strategy and the pursuit of enhancing customer experience through technology, Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang group won the “Enterprise of the Year” in the “2021 ‘Dingge Awards’ Digital Transformation Pioneer List” organised by Harvard Business Review and SAP.
In 2022, the world’s first V&A Museum x Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang Jewellery Concept Store was opened at K11 MUSEA, Hong Kong.
In 2024:
-became the first jewellery company in Greater China to have near-term carbon reduction targets approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), working towards to limit the global temperature increase to within the 1.5°C as set by the Paris Agreement.
-Chow sang" target="_blank">Sang sang" target="_blank">Sang celebrates its 90th Anniversary.
