On 18 December 2014 she was among a group of diplomats who were invited to the Convent of Cinqfontaines which had played the part of an old people's home for elderly Jews who had previously lived in Luzembourg from 1941 to 1943. The people moved there were, in time, transported to ghettos and concentration camps. The "old people's home" was then closed.
In 2015 she was promoted to be a Minister Plenipotentiary. For four years starting in 2016 she was as advisor to Jorge Carlos Fonseca, the President of Cape Verde.
In 2021 she became the Ambassador to Switzerland and the Permanent Representative of Cabo Verde to the United Nations and World Trade Organization. The Cape Verde embassy for Switzerland is in Geneva.
In June 2023 the World Trade Organisation's Trade and Gender Informal Working Group published its 2023-2024 plan. She and Simon Manley of the UK were new, joining El Salvador's Ana Patricia Benedetti Zelaya, as co-chairs of the Working Group. They replaced Athaliah Lesiba Molokomme and Einar Gunnarsson.
In October 2023 she was at the World Economic Forum where she spoke about sustainable development and about gender issues relating to Foreign direct investment. She speaks Russian, English, French and Portuguese.
At the beginning of 2024 she was at the World Trade Organisation where she delivered her country's acceptance of a fisheries agreement. An important deal as 80% of Cape Verde's population live on the coast. The WTO welcomed the news although many more countries needed to agree to make the decision binding.
