Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult is a German-Polish black metal band from Dormagen. They are considered to be a traditional black metal band, and as such has been interviewed in 2006 by the Franco-German TV network Arte.
The lead singer is female, which is rare in Black metal.
In November 2021, lead singer Onielar revealed she had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, resulting in the need for her to undergo lifesaving double Mastectomy surgery and chemotherapy. She has since gone on to make a full recovery.
