Kapten Frederick Marryat (10 Juli 1792 – 9 Agustus 1848) adalah seorang perwira Angkatan Laut Kerajaan dan seorang novelis. Saat ini ia dikenal sebagai pionir awal fiksi bahari, khususnya untuk novel semi-otobiografinya Mr Midshipman Easy (1836). Ia juga dikenang karena novel anak-anaknya The Children of the New Forest (1847). Selain itu, ia mengembangkan sistem isyarat bendera maritim yang banyak digunakan saat ini, yang dikenal sebagai Kode Marryat.
