Hay is a locality in the Shire of Denmark, Great Southern region of Western Australia.
Hay was a stopping place on the Albany to Denmark railway line, which was extended to Nornalup in 1929 and closed down in 1957.
Demographics
As of the 2021 Australian census, 493 people resided in Hay, up from 332 in the 2016 census. The median age of persons in Hay was 51 years. There were more males than females, with 51.8% of the population male and 48.2% female. The average household size was 2.4 people per household.
