The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HOABL) is an Indian land development company headquartered in Mumbai. It has been founded by Abhinandan Lodha and is a subsidiary of Lodha Ventures. The company focuses on residential plotted land developments and has projects in Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh.
History
The House of Abhinandan Lodha was founded in 2021 by Abhinandan Lodha, who previously served as the Deputy Managing Director at Lodha Group, a real estate company also based in Mumbai. The company operates as a subsidiary of Lodha Ventures, which was founded by Abhinandan Lodha in 2015. HOABL focuses on land development projects in various locations, including Alibaug, Anjarle, Dapoli, and Neral in Maharashtra, as well as Ayodhya and Goa.
The company launched its first project in April 2021 in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. In 2022, it acquired 51 acres of land in Ayodhya. By 2023, HOABL reported acquiring over 500 acres of land and committed to investing ā¹11,000 crore to acquire and develop 3,000ā3,500 acres across India in the next 3ā4 years. As part of this plan, ā¹3,000 crore will be invested in Uttar Pradesh alone, including ā¹1,200 crore in Ayodhya. By 2024, HoABL had acquired a total of 75 acres in Ayodhya.
HoABL also stated its intention to invest ā¹3,000 crore in six other cities, including Amritsar, Khopoli near Mumbai, Nagpur, Shimla, Varanasi, and Vrindavan. In January 2024, media reports indicated that Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan purchased land in The Sarayu, a mixed-use project in Ayodhya. In July 2024, actress Kriti Sanon was also reported to have acquired land in the company's Alibaug project, Sol de Alibaug.
In November 2024, HoABL acquired the American Center in the Marine Lines area of South Mumbai for Rs 56 crore.
Partnership
In June 2023, HOABL partnered with Indigo Hospitality for a restaurant project in Alibaug. Later that year, it formed a joint venture with HDFC Capital Advisors, investing ā¹1,500 crore in plotted and low-rise developments across India. In January 2024, HOABL announced a ā¹2,000 crore investment in hotels for its existing and upcoming projects, including locations like Ayodhya, Varanasi, Vrindavan, Shimla, and Amritsar. Additionally, it partnered with The Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts to develop a hotel in Ayodhya in their The Sarayu project.
