Kontakt.io is a New York based SaaS provider company that works on beacon technology and provides an artificial intelligence (AI), real-time locating system (RTLS) and indoor internet of things (IoT) solutions.
Overview
Kontakt.io was founded in 2014 by Philipp von Gilsa, Szymon Niemczura, Rafal Janicki, Tomasz Kolek, and Tomasz Koźmiński to build an indoor navigation system for the blind by using Beacon technology.
Kontakt.io helps hospitals optimize operations, increase staff safety and improve patient care with the following solutions: medical equipment tracking & management; wheelchair tracking; bed management; emergency staff duress; staff journey analytics; hand hygiene compliance; transportation management; patient flow & elopement; indoor navigation and environmental monitoring.
In April 2023, it secured a investment of $47.5 million in series C funding led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Kontakt.io was recognized as a Challenger in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant™ report and ranked by the Healthcare Technology Report’s Top 100 Healthcare Technology Companies of 2024.

=In 2014, Kontakt.io launched products with Beacon technology helps businesses track and engage with customers in-store. In the same month, Sunstone Capital closed a $2 Million investment followed by $5 Million in funding in 2016.
