Laura Poitras (diucapkan POY-tras; born 1964) adalah sutradara dan produser film dokumenter Amerika Serikat sekaligus pemenang Academy Award. Saat ini ia menetap di Berlin.
Poitras telah memenangkan berbagai penghargaan atas film-film karyanya, termasuk Citizenfour (2014) yang membahas Edward Snowden dan menang Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, sedangkan My Country, My Country mendapatkan nominasi di kategori yang sama pada tahun 2007. Ia memenangkan George Polk Award 2013 atas "liputan keamanan nasional" yang terkait dengan pengintaian NSA. Liputan NSA oleh Poitras, Glenn Greenwald, Ewen MacAskill, dan Barton Gellman membuat The Guardian dan The Washington Post dianugerahi Pulitzer Prize for Public Service pada tahun 2014.
Ia merupakan peserta MacArthur Fellow 2012, dan salah satu pendukung awal Freedom of the Press Foundation.
