The final phase of Liga MX is the biannual postseason elimination tournament of Liga MX. Under the current format adopted for the 2023–24 season, 10 teams qualify for the tournament based on regular-season point totals — the six highest-placed advance to the quarter-finals while teams seven through ten compete in the play-in round.
Qualification
Ten teams qualify for the final phase: the top ten teams that had earned the best points per game record during the 17-game regular season. The top six teams get a first-round bye, advancing to the quarter-finals.
