Ia dikenal karena perannya dalam serial televisi CBS, American Gothic (1995-1996) serta peran dalam film seperti Sling Blade (1996), Friday Night Lights (2004), The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), Legion (2010) dan Seven Days in Utopia (2011). Sejak September 2014, ia telah memainkan Agen Khusus Christopher LaSalle di CBS, NCIS: New Orleans.
