Mahbub Morshed (Bengali: মাহবুব মোর্শেদ) is a Bangladeshi journalist who is the incumbent Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), state-run national news agency of Bangladesh.
Early life and education
Morshed was born in Rangpur on 29 January 1977 to Md. Showkot Ali and Morsheda Begum. He is known for his work as a journalist, short story writer, and novelist. He obtained his Master of Arts from the Department of Archaeology of Jahangirnagar University.
Career
He started his journalism career with the Daily Ajker Kagoj as a sub-editor in 2003. He worked for Poriborton.com as Executive Editor. He also worked as the Online In-Charge at The Daily Kaler Kantho and Assistant Editor at The Daily Samakal. Additionally, he served as a Senior Sub-editor at The Daily Prothom Alo and The Daily Jaijaidin. Before joining BSS, he was the Deputy Editor of The Daily Desh Rupantor. He was also involved in Bangla blogging from the beginning.
