    • Nawab Sirajuddaula Road (previous name: High Street) is the main and busiest road of Kushtia city. The road is known as NS Road. Economic and business activities of Kushtia mainly depend on this road. The road is named after Nawab Sirajuddaula.
      It is an ancient road, there are many ancient and important buildings and institutions of the city along this road. These are (east to west)-

      Naming history


      At one time this road was called High Street. The road was renamed Nawab Shaheed Sirajddaula Road to preserve the memory of the last independent Nawab of Bengal-Bihar-Orissa . Later Nawab Sirajuddaula Road was renamed after removing the word Shaheed . Which is now known to people as NS Road.
