Orost (Persian: ارست) is a village in Poshtkuh Rural District, Chahardangeh District, Sari County, Mazandaran province, Iran.

=At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 895 in 222 households. The following census in 2011 counted 555 people in 174 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 709 people in 236 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.
