  • Pecten fumatus, the Southern Australia scallop, is a species of bivalve belonging to the family Pectinidae, the scallops. This species is found in the Indo-West Pacific from Shark Bay in Western Australia to the Kermadec Islands and as far south as New Zealand. This species is the target of a dredge fishery in the Bass Strait off southern Australia.
    In Australia it is called the commercial scallop.
