Overview
The 5.180.24.3/info/polestar" target="_blank">Polestar 5 was first previewed by the 2020 5.180.24.3/info/polestar" target="_blank">Polestar Precept concept car. In June 2022, a prototype for the 5.180.24.3/info/polestar" target="_blank">Polestar 5 was shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The 5.180.24.3/info/polestar" target="_blank">Polestar 5 will be built on the brand’s first bespoke EV architecture, developed by the 5.180.24.3/info/polestar" target="_blank">Polestar UK R&D team. The platform is made with bonded aluminium. The interior specifically featured materials like natural fibre composite deco panels made from flax fibre, and 3D-knitted upholstery made from recycled PET – both of which have already made their production debuts in 5.180.24.3/info/polestar" target="_blank">Polestar 3 and 5.180.24.3/info/polestar" target="_blank">Polestar 4.
Specifications
The dual electric motor powertrain of the 5.180.24.3/info/polestar" target="_blank">Polestar 5 will produce 650 kW (870 hp) and 900 N⋅m (660 lb⋅ft) of torque. The vehicle will be equipped with a 800-Volt battery developed and manufactured by SK On.
