Rat Cage was an independent record label from New York City. Rat Cage was founded by Donna Lee Parsons. It was run out of a record shop of the same name.
The Beastie Boys worked with until they switched to Def Jam in 1984. Most notably, the Beastie Boys' debut EP Polly Wog Stew was released on the label.
