Rio Joel Shipston (born 7 November 2004) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre midfielder for Sheffield Wednesday.

=Shipston joined Sheffield Wednesday at the age of 7, and would make his senior debut against Leicester City U21 on 18 October 2022 before signing his first pro contract on 14 December 2022.
Manager Darren Moore would say “He's got wonderful size, good awareness, and he reads the play really well. He's developing his power, too.” during his debut season about him.
He made his first league appearance against Cambridge United on 2 January 2023, coming off the bench in a 5-0 win. Following injuries in the squad, he would join the first team for the remainder of the season along with fellow youngsters Adam Alimi-Adetoro and Sean Fusire who have all made their debut during the season.
