Saskia Sassen (lahir 5 Januari 1947) adalah sosiolog Belanda-Amerika yang dikenal karena analisisnya tentang globalisasi dan migrasi manusia internasional. Ia menjabat sebagai Dosen Sosiologi Robert S. Lynd di Universitas Columbia dan dosen tamu di London School of Economics.
Sassen adalah pencipta istilah kota global. Ia merupakan istri dari sosiolog Richard Sennett.
Kehidupan
Sassen dibesarkan di Buenos Aires, Argentina. Orang tuanya, Willem
