Scotland is a city in Telfair and Wheeler counties in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of 2020, its population was 173.
History
The community was named after Scotland, the ancestral home of a large share of the first settlers. The Georgia General Assembly incorporated Scotland as a town in 1911.
Geography
Scotland is located at 32°2′55″N 82°49′5″W (32.048683, -82.818080).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.6 km2), of which 1.4 square miles (3.6 km2) is land and 0.71% is water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 300 people, 111 households, and 81 families residing in the city. In 2020, its population declined to 173.
