Annita Demetriou has served as Cyprus' Leader of the Opposition as Leader of the Democratic Rally since February 28, 2024. Demetriou announced the establishment of a shadow cabinet on November 9, 2024, for the first time in the history of Cyprus. The role of the shadow cabinet is to monitor Christodoulides government activity and develop policy proposals.
