Sophia Junk (born 1 March 1999) is a German sprinter. She competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Career
She won silver at the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships in Grosseto in the 200 metres. She was also part of the German 4x100m relay team that broke the U18 world record at those European Championships.
She won gold as part of the German 4x100m relay team at the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships in Tampere. She won gold as part of the German 4x100m relay team at the 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships in Sweden. She won silver in the 200 metres and gold in the 4x100m relay at the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships in Bergen.
She competed at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon in the 200 metres.
She competed for Germany at the 2024 European Athletics Championships in the 4 × 100 metres relay.
She was selected for the German sprint relay team at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris which qualified for the final.
Personal life
She started training in athletics at seven years old. She is a member of LG Rhein-Wied. She became a member the Rhineland-Palatinate State Police in 2018.
