Suraj K. Budathoki (b. Samrang, Bhutan) is an American politician who is the member-elect for the Hillsborough 40th district of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
Budathoki is of Nepali-speaking Bhutanese (Lhotshampa) heritage. As a child, he was deported from Bhutan along with his family and spent 19 years in a refugee camp in Nepal. He came to the United States as a resettled Bhutanese refugee in 2009.
He earned a bachelor's degree from Southern New Hampshire University in 2015, and a graduate degree from Norwich University in 2018. He is a Ph.D. candidate at Saybrook University in California. His career experience includes working as a business executive and he is the founder of Peace Action Bhutan
